# No Custody / Non-Intermediated Model

Juris Protocol is non-custodial. Funds deposited into smart contracts remain under the user’s self-controlled wallet address. No fiduciary or trust relationship exists between you and Juris DAO or its developers. Interest rates, collateral factors, and liquidations are algorithmic; once executed on-chain they cannot be reversed or manually overridden.
